Black Truffle Sauce Steak Crostini

Tender steak, toasted baguette, parmesan, and TruffLove Black Truffle Sauce come together in a bold appetizer made for hosting. Each bite is crisp, savoury, earthy, and rich — the kind of small plate that feels far more impressive than the effort it takes.

Ingredients

What You’ll Need

1 small baguette, sliced into crostini
1 tablespoon olive oil, plus more for brushing
225 g steak, such as striploin, tenderloin, or sirloin
Salt, to taste
Black pepper, to taste
2 tablespoons TruffLove Black Truffle Sauce
1/4 cup shaved or finely grated parmesan
1 tablespoon fresh parsley or chives, finely chopped
Optional: 2 tablespoons crème fraîche or whipped ricotta
Optional: balsamic glaze for finishing

Method

How to Make It

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F / 190°C.
  2. Arrange baguette slices on a baking tray. Brush lightly with olive oil and bake for 7–9 minutes, flipping once, until lightly golden and crisp.
  3. Pat the steak dry and season with salt and black pepper.
  4. Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the steak for 3–4 minutes per side, or until cooked to your preferred doneness.
  5. Transfer the steak to a cutting board and rest for 5–7 minutes before slicing thinly.
  6. If using crème fraîche or whipped ricotta, spread a small amount onto each crostini.
  7. Add a slice of steak to each toast.
  8. Spoon a small amount of TruffLove Black Truffle Sauce over the steak.
  9. Finish with parmesan, herbs, and optional balsamic glaze.
  10. Serve immediately while the crostini are crisp.

Pairing Note

Serve with red wine, sparkling wine, a charcuterie board, roasted mushrooms, or a simple salad. For the best texture, assemble the crostini just before serving so the bread stays crisp.
