Ingredients

What You’ll Need

6 thick slices brioche or challah

3/4 cup whole milk or cream

1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
Pinch of salt
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided
TruffLove Black Truffle Maple Syrup, for serving
Fresh berries, for serving
Optional: powdered sugar
Optional: whipped cream

Method

How to Make It

  1. In a shallow bowl, whisk together eggs, milk or cream, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt.
  2. Dip each slice of brioche into the custard, letting it soak for 15–20 seconds per side.
  3. Heat 1 tablespoon butter in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat.
  4. Add the soaked brioche slices in batches and cook for 2–3 minutes per side, until golden and lightly crisp.
  5. Add more butter to the pan as needed between batches.
  6. Warm the TruffLove Black Truffle Maple Syrup gently in a small saucepan or microwave-safe dish.
  7. Plate the French toast and top with berries.
  8. Drizzle generously with warm Black Truffle Maple Syrup.
  9. Finish with powdered sugar or whipped cream if desired.
  10. Serve immediately.

Pairing Note

Serve with fresh berries, whipped cream, crispy bacon, breakfast sausage, or a simple fruit salad. Warm the Black Truffle Maple Syrup gently before serving so it drizzles beautifully over the toast.
