Black Truffle Maple Baked Brie Crostini

Creamy brie, toasted baguette, walnuts, and Black Truffle Maple Syrup come together in a warm appetizer made for hosting. It is sweet, savoury, earthy, and elegant — the kind of bite that disappears before dinner even begins.

Ingredients

What You’ll Need

1 small wheel of brie, about 225–300 g
1 baguette, sliced into crostini
2 tablespoons olive oil or melted butter
1/3 cup walnuts or pecans, roughly chopped
3 tablespoons TruffLove Black Truffle Maple Syrup, plus more for finishing
1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves
Pinch of flaky salt or TruffLove Sea Salt with Black Truffle, optional
Black pepper, optional

Method

How to Make It

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F / 175°C.
  2. Place the brie in a small oven-safe dish or on a parchment-lined baking tray. Score the top lightly with a knife, being careful not to cut all the way through.
  3. Arrange the baguette slices on a baking tray. Brush lightly with olive oil or melted butter.
  4. Bake the crostini for 8–10 minutes, flipping once, until lightly golden. Remove and set aside.
  5. Top the brie with chopped walnuts or pecans, then drizzle with 2 tablespoons of TruffLove Black Truffle Maple Syrup.
  6. Bake the brie for 10–12 minutes, until soft and warmed through. Avoid overbaking, or the cheese may fully collapse.
  7. Finish with the remaining Black Truffle Maple Syrup, fresh thyme, and a small pinch of truffle salt if desired.
  8. Serve warm with crostini. Spoon the melted brie onto each toast and let the maple-truffle glaze run over the top.

Pairing Note

Beautiful with sparkling wine, champagne, dry cider, charcuterie, fresh figs, pears, or a holiday cheese board. This is a strong hosting recipe because it feels luxurious but takes very little effort.
